Christopher McLaughlin

Hello, my name is Chris McLaughlin and I hail from the wonderful town of Tamworth, ON.
I spent my undergraduate days at the University of Guelph where I obtained an Honors Degree in
Chemistry. I then went on to do MSc. studies at the same institution working on the potential
mutagenic effects of phenoxyl radicals that can attack the C8 position of purine nucleosides
(dG and dA) under the supervision of Dr. Richard Manderville. I then ventured off to the oh-so
cosmopolitan city of Montreal where I began a PhD. project under the supervision of
Dr. Hanadi Sleiman at McGill University. My project(s) here aim to elucidate the design features
for preparation of discrete 3D DNA architectures and how these might be utilized in the areas of
i) nanoscale patterning, ii) studies on encapsulated moieties and iii) drug delivery.
