Faisal Aldaye

Hi, my name is Faisal. I was born in Saudi Arabia, but moved to Canada decades ago. I ended up getting my B.Sc. from Dalhousie University, but also spent a year at Mount Saint Vincent University and the University of British Columbia. I am now working towards my doctorate at McGill, were I mostly work with DNA and gold / quantum nanoparticles. I get to do everything... the DNA / nanoparticle synthesis, conjugation, self-assembly, AFM, TEM, etc... it's kinda cool. The idea is to use DNA to generate nanoparticle assemblies that possess interesting physical and chemical properties... you know... so that we can help make the world a better place! I realize that based on my picture I appear to be a tiny cat that gets around using two gigantic arms... but I'm not. That is just a picture of my cat who insisted on using this website to audition for any available TV roles. If there are any talent-scouts out there, please contact her directly... I just can't be part of another diva disappointment.
