Karina Carneiro

Hi! I am Karina Carneiro. I am originally from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brasil. I first came to Canada to pursue my undergraduate studies. I lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I obtained a joint Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mount Saint Vincent University and Dalhousie University. I joined the McGill Chemistry Department as a graduate student in 2006. I was lucky to join Dr. Sleiman's group, where I am currently investigating the self-assembly of cyclic DNA templates into ordered structures. I have the opportunity of being here today because of amazing parents that always believed in me and in my dreams.
