Yoshihiro Ishihara

I'm Yoshi, short for "Yoshihiro", yes I'm Japanese as you see from the picture above (you should know this if you watched
"Memoirs of a Geisha"). I was born in Kyoto, where temples and shrines such as the one depicted above abound. I came
here when I was 5, and have been a Montrealer since. I obtained my BSc in chemistry here at McGill, and am staying here
for a bit longer to get my MSc. I used to be on the polymer side working on block copolymers and self-assembly, but now
I'm working on using DNA to make nanoarrays of particles such as gold and quantum dots.
